Gator Theme Park Engineering & Design Club

I became involved in the opportunities that Gator TPED offered in its first year, and I was able to develop relevant design experience and network to receive an internship in themed entertainment. I cite this club as being the catalyst for me to enter the themed entertainment industry; therefore, when I returned from my internship in Fall of 2018 I wanted to help grow the club and provide even more opportunities for students to benefit from just like I did.
As the club's President:
+ Delivered monthly general body meetings to groups of 35-50 club members
+ Secured a permanent office space and funding from faculty in the College of Engineering
+ Inspired the leadership team in event planning/execution by training new officers, organizing the Google Drive, delegating tasks, resolving conflicts, and leading officer meetings
+ Organized speaker events and company tours with industry professionals from The Walt Disney Company, Universal Creative, Alcorn McBride, ThemeWorks, and more
In April of 2019 our student organization was awarded “New Student Organization of the Year” by the University of Florida's Student Activities and Involvement Committee, recognizing our unrivaled success in winning national competitions, connecting students to the industry, and executing a program of technical and professional development events since the start of our club two years ago.
When I became President of Gator TPED, I knew that this club had the potential to grow into something amazing. I am so grateful to have had an even more amazing and hardworking leadership team to get it there.

Gator Theme Park Engineering & Design Club

Previously I served as Technical Chair of Gator Theme Park Engineering & Design. I was responsible for:
+ Preparing technical content for general body meetings of groups of 20-30 club members
+ Leading the 8 member Queue Design Team to develop a virtual queue program, interactives, and theming
I held this position until I received an internship offer with Universal Creative for Spring 2018.
