Brother

Alpha Phi Omega, Co-Ed National Service Fraternity

2017-2020

Alpha Phi Omega is a co-ed national service fraternity. Our cardinal principles include leadership, friendship, and service. We aim to serve the community and the university while forming lasting friendships through brotherhood events.

The principles of Leadership, Friendship, and Service do apply to the world outside of APO, and I specifically experience this with each of my internships since becoming a brother. Taking initiative, helping the team and overall goal, treating everyone with respect, communicating and working with people of different majors, personalities, and backgrounds — all experiences and skills I’ve learned through experiences in my fraternity I then applied at my job without thinking about it. I initially rushed APO to find more community service on campus, but my experiences here have also allowed me to grow more confident in my abilities and expand my potential as a leader in the real world.
